With the increasing competition in person's day to day life, the level of stress is also going up. And with that comes an increase in the need for a better lifestyle. The best way to improve is by leading a healthy lifestyle; they say "health is wealth". Now with that comes a need as to how can this be done? The answer to this question is healthy eating pyramid. A healthy eating pyramid also known as healthy food pyramid, gives basically a pictorial overview as to what food are best suited for a healthy lifestyle. A healthy eating pyramid tells how should one begin with their diet, and gives the correct method to follow it to the end.

The healthy food pyramid like any pyramid begins with a broad base and tapers towards the end. The healthy eating pyramid can be classified into five levels. For the base (remember it is important to have a strong foundation for better hold) of healthy food pyramid or you can call it as the level 1. One is asked to start with a good exercise regime, keeping a check on one's weight and asked to begin with light diet. It won't be advisable to start with rigorous diet because there are a chance of one's faltering. The second level of healthy eating pyramid talks about the right food to eat. It is imperative that the diet should consist of small meals taken within short duration. The intake should consist of vegetables; one can go with salads, and lots of green fruits and vegetables. The level three consists of cutting on bad fat and focusing more on whole grains. Again, vegetables and fruits are always a better option for people going on diet.

One should avoid all bad oily and fatty stuff and instead gorge on healthy food, and certainly there is plenty of stuff that is tasty and good for health i.e. the ones which are compatible with the healthy food pyramid. Level 4 asks to avoid all sorts of sugary and aerated drinks, red meat, and a strict 'NO' to all sort of junk food ( looks tough but it gets tougher at the top huh?). The topmost level i.e. the top of healthy eating pyramid asks to intake multivitamins. So that completes the healthy food pyramid.
